Are you a member of our Armed Forces, serving or veteran, regular or reservist or a member of any Blue Light Service?

If so and you would like the chance to get together with others  to pull up a sandbag and swing the lantern, you will find us in a private walled garden within Ashton Park in Preston, Lancashire. We welcome anyone from the military community to join us for some gardening, carpentry, photography, a chat, and even a brew or two.

There are no expectations. This is not a talking therapy nor a commercially driven market garden. It is merely a place to meet people who have a shared experience, to come together and support each other.

The service is free, and exclusively available to the military community.  All of our sessions are free of charge and without time limit. You are welcome to attend for as long as you are finding it helpful.  All of our staff are veterans who have been part of the Dig In team for some time.

How do I get involved..?

We’ve made the whole process as simple as possible.

Referral is preferred via your CPN, GP, or other health professional. However, self-referral will be accepted.

You will be invited to come and meet us at the garden. If you decide to join us, we will sit down together and chat about what it is you are hoping to get out of the project and how we can help you achieve that.

There is no time limit on how long you can come to the project, and there are no costs involved for you.
